Classification: Martian meteorite (Shergottite)

History: Purchased by Mark Lyon in September 2019 from a Moroccan dealer. Some of this material was subsequently sold to Mike Fleeman and Roberto Vargas.

Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Diabasic texture. Composed predominantly of zoned clinopyroxene and maskelynite with accessory ulvöspinel (some Cr-bearing), ilmenite, silica polymorph, merrillite, pyrrhotite and minor secondary calcite.

Geochemistry: Subcalcic augite cores (Fs_20.3-23.3Wo_36.2-32.0, FeO/MnO = 28-29, N = 4), ferroan pigeonite rims (Fs_52.4-59.2Wo_14.2-19.7, FeO/MnO = 36-39, N = 4), maskelynite (An_50.5-57.2Or_1.9-0.7, N = 3).
